Once one of Hollywood’s most influential power couples, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman have led very different lives since their explosive divorce back in 2001.
Nicole would go on to meet and marry Keith Urban in 2006 – the two remain an item today – while Cruise would wed Katie Holmes in a union that would ultimately end in another divorce in 2012.
Since the breakdown of his last marriage, Cruise has remained a bachelor. Though he remains one of the world’s foremost celebrities, the 61-year-old hadn’t officially dated anyone – that we know of – in the last 15 or so years, until speculation late last year linked him to 36-year-old Elsina Khayrova, the daughter of a Russian MP who was previously married to Dmitry Tsvetkov.
The pair were supposedly spotted at a party in Mayfair, London in December, with one at the event telling the Daily Mail: “They were inseparable, clearly a couple. He seemed to be besotted with her.”
Khayrova is a former model who holds British citizenship and divorced from her business tycoon ex-husband in 2023.
Her name hit the headlines in 2022 when she appeared in court while being ordered to pay a hefty fee to the tune of £117,000 ($149,50) to a company who had installed fountains in one of her and her ex-spouse’s homes.
Now, it’s important to add that Cruise hasn’t publicly confirmed that he and Khayrova are an item, nor has there been much fuel added to the fire since that aforementioned party in December.
Yet the rumors are strong enough to have drawn some sort of opinion out of Nicole Kidman. That’s at least according to BNN Breaking, who report that Kidman believes her ex-husband’s new relationship to be “bizarre” and “staged”.
Kidman recently spoke on the breakdown of her and Cruise’s marriage, claiming the completion of the divorce proceedings ruined what should have been one of the most magical nights of her life.
“I went home and ended up ordering takeout and eating it on the floor of the Beverly Hills Hotel,” Kidman is quoted as saying.
“I sat on the floor of the hotel eating French fries and a burger with my family and went to bed. That’s when it hit me. I went, I need to find my love; I need a love in my life. Because this is supposed to be when you go, ‘This is ours.”‘
