Leading up to the Super Bowl kickoff, many were eagerly anticipating Reba McEntire’s rendition of the national anthem – and she didn’t disappoint anyone.
However, when it came to Post Malone’s performance of ‘America the Beautiful,’ it’s safe to say that many really didn’t know what to expect.
With his numerous facial tattoos, the 10-time Grammy-nominated superstar took the stage to sing “America the Beautiful” at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl.
We were surely many who weren’t quite sure where it would all lead – but looking back on it now, it’s safe to say one thing: Post Malone did an excellent job.
Looking at social media, many are expressing that Post Malone has just delivered one of the “best versions” of ‘America the Beautiful’ that some people have ever heard.
The 28-year-old rappe , dressed in blue jeans and a white shirt layered beneath a brown blazer, delivered the song with reverence, strumming his guitar throughout the performance.
“One of the best versions of America the Beautiful I’ve ever heard,” one X user wrote, with a second adding: “Holy s**t post malone might have just sung the best version of america the beautiful i have ever heard.”
“Wow. Post Malone’s version of America the Beautiful was the best I have ever heard,” a third added.
A fourth agreed, tweeting: “Post Malone just blew my mind by singing the best version of America the Beautiful I have ever heard”.
Another artist who seemed to relish the moment was Taylor Swift.
Unlike some celebrities, Post Malone is about as genuine and honest as they come. While he’s currently enjoying his fame, the 28-year-old rapper wants to keep his personal life private.
Austin Post, known by his stage name Post Malone, recently discussed the significance of maintaining his privacy away from the spotlight.
“I feel like a lot of people feel entitled to know every single detail of everyone’s life and it’s why I don’t want to post any pictures of my baby, because I want her to be able to make that decision whenever she wants to and is ready,” he told CR Fashion Book.
“We live in such an interestingly semi-connected world where everybody is a phone call away, but you lose a lot of the intricacies and nuance of being with the person and seeing what’s actually happening.”
Malone would rather he be the one who is in control of sharing his family’s news with the world.
Unlike many, the father of one did not announce the birth of his daughter, instead he casually slipped the news of his daughter’s arrival into a conversation with Howard Stern in June 2022.
“I want to let her make her own decisions,” he told Stern when confronted about keeping his daughter a secret.
Even the mother of his daughter, who is his fiancée, is unknown – Malone has never publicly disclosed the name of his partner
It wasn’t until summer 2023 Malone revealed he asked his longtime girlfriend to marry him, and she initially said no!
Malone said the proposal happened in Las Vegas two years earlier after he had lost “significant amount of money at the table.”
“We go upstairs and I’m off my rocker hammered and I was like, ‘Hey, you wanna marry me?’ I got a ring and all this stuff. And she said ‘no.’ She’s like, ‘Ask me tomorrow’ and I was like, ‘Alright.’ And then I did and I was sober and it was nice.”
