“The Phone That Changed Everything”

Text on my phone, a message from her best friend. It said,

“Your daughter just sold the phone you gave her online.

She says she doesn’t care about it. She wants a different one.”

I was stunned. I confronted her, and after a long silence, she finally admitted it. She wasn’t just ungrateful—she was entitled.

I decided enough was enough. I stopped buying her things without thought, forcing her to work for the things she wanted.

It wasn’t easy, but slowly, I saw a change.

She started respecting the value of hard work, and for the first time in a long time, she thanked me.
