The 62-year-old actor, renowned for his roles in “House” and “Blackadder,” is currently involved in developing a murder mystery based on Agatha Christie’s 1934 novel of the same name. In the series, Will Poulter portrays Bobby Jones, the son of a vicar, while Frances Derwent plays Lady Frances Derwent, his intrepid companion, investigating a perplexing murder. Jim Broadbent and Emma Thompson portray Lady Frances Marcham’s esteemed parents, with Laurie himself taking on the role of Dr. James Nicholson, a psychologist, and also directing the show.
