Mum branded “toad” by cruel bullies over 6,000 tumors covering her body reveals dramatic transformation after undergoing surgery

Libby Huffer, 45, shared that she was labeled “reptile exhalation” and “frog” by bullies on the playground throughout years of mistreatment due to her condition.

Libby has Neurofibromatosis, a genetic neurological disorder resulting in the development of non-cancerous lumps wherever nerves are present.
An eruption of hundreds of tumors multiplied into thousands after she became pregnant with her daughter Lindsey 23 years ago.

The condition subjected her to persistent pain, making even a simple hug painful.

Following the disclosure of her situation, the mother from Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA, received specialized treatment to minimize the visible effects of the disorder from the daytime TV Show The Doctors. Last June, she underwent her second electrodesiccation surgery to eliminate 1,000 of the ‘bumps’ on her face and the tissue causing the growths. To minimize scarring, she then underwent C02 laser surgery, which smoothens the skin and diminishes the visibility of marks. She has observed a ‘significant difference’ in her appearance since her surgery but wishes for increased understanding towards individuals grappling with Neurofibromatosis. “My friends and family remark that I appear great, noticing a substantial change.”
