oing to the supermarket seems easy — you get what you need and leave. But sometimes, it’s not so simple. Some people have funny
or strange stories from their grocery trips.
At the checkout, an old lady, about 80 years old, was in line before me. She was holding cereal and milk and could hardly stand,
leaning on the counter. She had very kind eyes and saw that I only had a can of soda. She said, “Son, you go ahead of me, you only
have a soda, and I have a lot.” It made me feel happy.
So, I had a smart idea. I paid for my soda and waited near the cash register, pretending to check my phone. When the old lady’s items
were being rung up, I quickly asked the cashier to let me pay for her things. The lady was confused, but I paid and left with a smile on my face.
