Brock Purdy is ready to break Taylor Swift’s heart at the Super Bowl as the 49ers QB doesn’t flinch when asked about disappointing Travis Kelce’s girlfriend with win over the Chiefs: ‘Yes… we’ll leave it at that’
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy says he is prepared to disappoint Taylor Swift by leading his team to victory in Super Bowl LVIII against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Swift is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and has attended 12 Kansas City games since going public with their romance back in September.
The pop sensation is also expected to be at Sunday’s showpiece in Las Vegas.
NFL Network’s Scott Hanson, best known as host of RedZone, posed the question about Swift to Purdy as part of Super Bowl LVIII’s Opening Night.
Hanson asked: ‘It’s late in the fourth quarter. Are you prepared to disappoint Taylor Swift?’

Swift’s name came up as a topic amid her high-profile romance with Chiefs star Travis Kelce
Kelce and Swift have been a public item since a September Chiefs game against the Bears
‘Yes,’ Purdy laughed in response. ‘We’ll leave it at that.’
Standing right next to him was Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who laughed as soon as Hanson asked the question.
‘She might wrong a song about it, you never know,’ Hanson added.
Swift was a constant topic of conversation on Monday night, as Kelce, Mahomes, and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid were all asked multiple questions about the 14-time Grammy Award winner.
Swift has four shows during her Japanese leg of ‘The Eras Tour’ from Wednesday through Saturday and is expected to make the journey back to the United States in time for Super Bowl LVIII.
Purdy had yet to comment on Swift being part of the NFL universe before but had to know the question was coming eventually because of the mainstream interest in their relationship.
